Catching Up: Mix Tour 2013

I can't believe it's been 2 years since I've posted! It's time for repenting. I've got a LOT of catching up to do for the past year, so I'm starting out with our favorite trip of the summer: Mix Tour 2013. A fun family road trip to the East and various church history sites.

Putting supplies in the covered wagon at the Mormon Trail Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Pulling a handcart over rocks.

Sitting on the bed dressed as pioneer children.

Standing in front of the statue at Winter Quarters.

Standing in front of the Winter Quarters temple. It is beautiful!

The kids in front of the temple entrance.

One of our favorite parts of Nauvoo was the plays. Here are the boys with some of the cast members of "Just Plain Anna Amanda".

And the girls! Rachel is standing next to Anna Amanda, the main character. The sister in the middle is also named Rachel.

Pretending to eat a meal at the Family Center in Nauvoo.

Making our own rope.

Standing in front of Carthage Jail.

In front of the Nauvoo Temple! It was simply breathtaking!

We enjoyed touring the different homes and shops in Kirtland, Ohio.

We stopped at Niagra Falls on our way to Palmyra, New York.

The girls at the top of the Hill Cumorah.

You can see where the pageant takes place at the bottom of the hill.
